So, the New York Giants travel down the New Jersey Turnpike after a week of talking trash about the Eagles, come into Lincoln Financial Field and stomp on our Eagles logo…. then absolutely get whomped by the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football in front of a national audience. The Eagles, all in black, shut out the Giants, 27-0. The last time an Eagles team shut out an opponent was 18 years ago (again it was the Giants). This was way overdue, and it was overdue that the team came to full dominance on both sides of the ball. Not to be out-done, Special Teams still had a partial blocked punt in the game, which they continue to shine week after week. On Offense, quarterback Nick Foles looked better, but still has some fixing to do, as he threw two horrible interceptions, that in a normal game could have been costly. I say “normal game” because the Eagles Defense absolutely man-handled the Giants Offensive Line, sacking Giants QB Eli Manning 8 times!! Three of those sacks were recorded by Connor Barwin, and two by Vinny Curry. The Defense played as great as they could, keeping the entire Giants Offense off-balance the entire game, and it was a great sight to see. Even at the end of the game, when the Giants desperately did everything they could to get within Field Goal range… even using all three of their timeouts within the last 1:10 of regulation (douche move, Coughlin!!), the Defense was there to complete the shutout, and fully shut the lights out in the Blackout Game Sunday night. Almost 70,000 fans were out of their minds, except for these two guys. LOL It was a great game, with a great ending, in a great stadium, surrounded by the greatest fans in the world. — Mourning the Giants together: Voicemail Line: 1 (856) 335-3675 Twitter: @EaglesFanCast, Todd – @tradonks and Chuck – @chuckst Facebook: facebook.com/EaglesFanCast Google+: EaglesFanCast Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Support EFC – get our iPhone App, Android App or Windows 8 App
