The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Sunshine State 31-20.  The Eagles move to 3-3 on the year, and remain tied for the top of the NFC East.  But what was most important in the game is the performance of Quarterback Nick Foles.  With Michael Vick sitting out to rest his hamstring, Foles commanded the Eagles Offense over a tough Bucs D, throwing for three touchdown passes, AND running in another.  Riley Cooper had 120 yards and a TD, DeSean Jackson had 64 yards and two TD's, Shady McCoy added another 55 yards receiving on two receptions, and another five Eagles caught passes on the day... all adding up to Foles' 296 passing yards.  Where was the running game?  Healthy, thanks to McCoy's 116 yards (on 25 rushes) on the ground, with Bryce Brown also carrying five times for 20 yards.  A bunch of stats, but it proves a poing: Foles had confident command of that Offense that day.

As such, we talk about the Foles-Vick situation in Philly.  Which quarterback should lead this team moving forward?  Has Vick really lost the job, and has Foles really won it yet?  Does there need to be a change, or should the Eagles think to the future and develop Foles into the future leader they think he could be?  Right now there is no way to know what coach Chip Kelly is going to do.  It seems that Vick is comfortable sitting until his hamstring is fully healed, and why not?  Foles helped orchestrate a win over the Giants, and commanded a victory over the Bucs.

But this week there is a significant test.  The Dallas Cowboys visit Lincoln Financial Field, a place where the Eagles have not won since September of 2012.  Romo and the Cowboys Offense have put up significant points and yards, and the Eagles Defense is still not stellar by any stretch.  Whichever quarterback gets the call, they will be looking for a division win, and first place alone in the NFC East.  It's going to be an interesting week.
