The BYE week is upon us, and we all missed our Eagles playing this week. The good thing about the BYE is that the team rested, and some of our injured players nursed their wounds another week without missing play time. In their absence, though, the Dallas Cowboys won yet another game (against the New York Giants), going to 6-1 on the season, and shifting the Birds to second place in the NFC East. This week we have both Tommy Lawlor and Steve Brown on with us to talk about the Eagles season to date, and how other teams in the league are lining up so far. This week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals will be a very tough showing for Nick Foles, Shady McCoy, and the rest of the Offense, as the Cardinals have one of the better Defenses in the league. The BYE week time off will rejuvenate the team, and if we get the running game established early, the Eagles Defense will keep the Cardinals’ Offense in check, and the Eagles will win the game down in Arizona. We talk about a bit of the history of the Fly Eagles Fly fight song, and how it has become part of the heart of the Eagles team and fans everywhere. Quarterbacks past and present, mobile and pocket, are also discussed and what seems to work and where they don’t. It depends on the QB and his weapons, and it all factors in.
