Show Notes: Episode 47 for December 30th, 2008 Playoffs!?!? That’s right, the Philadelphia Eagles clinched the last NFC Wildcard spot by defeating, nay, crushing the Dallas Cowboys 44-6 at Lincoln Financial Field. In front of a frenzied crowd in South Philly, the Eagles took care of things in dominating fashion on both sides of the ball. Our Offense played tight, and our Defense caused five turnovers, two of which were returned for spectacular touchdowns. They didn’t let the Cowboys breathe the whole game, and embarrassed the team that most thought would easily take the NFC East this season. Instead the Cowboys flew back to Texas, and the Eagles are on their way to Minnesota to take on the Vikings in the NFC Wildcard Game. What we discussed:

Show Notes: Episode 46 for December 23rd, 2008 The Philadelphia Eagles lose to the Washington Redskins 10-3. Despite the Playoff hopes increasing dramatically in a few of the other NFL games, this loss essentially knocks the Eagles out of contention. The Eagles Offense failed to score a touchdown on a horrible outing plagued with inaccurate passing, dropped balls, unbalanced play calling and poor clock management. After seeing three impressive wins, the Eagles fans have now turned against Head Coach Andy Reid with renewed vigor, and concensus is that his tenure in Philadelphia should come to an end. Show Notes: Episode 45 for Tuesday, December 16, 2008 The Philadelphia Eagles win their third game in a row, defeating the Cleveland Browns 30-10 in Philadelphia on Monday Night Football. With the warm December temperatures and late rains moving in, the Eagles finished off with Kevin Kolb at quarterback, but for a different reason this time. Donovan McNabb had 290 yards passing and two touchdowns, and Coach Andy Reid decided to protect his starting QB. Despite some mishaps in the game, the Eagles looked solid and defeated the struggling Browns like they should have. Now with two games left in the season and a playoff spot on the line, the Eagles need to win their last two games of the season against the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys. Besides that, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Atlanta Falcons have to lose a game. The momentum is definitely on the green side, as the team has gelled into an efficient Offense and dominating Defense. Our playoffs have already arrived in Philadelphia. What we discussed:

Show Notes: Episode 44 for Tuesday, December 9, 2008 The Philadelphia Eagles march up the New Jersey Turnpike, then Brian Westbrook marches all over the New York Giants. The men in Green take their new confidence and beat the Giants 20-14 in a game where our running game ruled and Eli Manning’s passes were dropped. Despite the win, we try to find optimism as this was the Eagles dominant team that should be in the playoffs, not struggling (and hoping) to make a Wildcard spot. What we discussed:

We found out about this after we recorded our show, but we want to

the birth of their twins, a boy and a girl. This news comes thanks to Bleeding Green Nation. All our best goes out to Donovan and his family.
Show Notes: Episode 43 for Tuesday, December 2, 2008 We have a really good show this week as we enjoy leftover turkey and a great Eagles win in Philly over the Arizona Cardinals. The Offense lit up the night at Lincoln Financial Field to the massive cheers of all in attendance. Andy Reid went against his own game plans of late and went for a balanced Offense attack. Our QB Donovan McNabb, as well as RB Brian Westbrook, looked great and controlled their drives the whole game and totaled six touchdowns. The Defense also continued to do very well. In all, despite recent games, there were very few negatives taken away from this game. Also on this show, we talk to author Jeff Fekete, an Eagles fan who’s book titled Making the Big Game - Tales of an Accidental Spectator will be coming out next month. We’re also having a contest where we are giving away two Eagles logo DirecTV remote controls! What we discussed:
