The Philadelphia Eagles 2013-2014 season comes to a close as the Birds lose to the Saints in a the final seconds of a heartbreaker.  Philadelphia was treated to a home playoff game after the Eagles finish the season with 10 wins and 6 losses and take the NFC East Division.  The team played well above our season's expectations, and although they struggled at the beginning of the season, we saw a completely different team than how they started, with a new quarterback in Nick Foles, Lesean McCoy taking the NFL Rushing title as well as breaking the Eagles franchise regular season rushing record.  Desean Jackson also racked up over 1300 yards receiving, our tight ends exceeded expectations, and our Defense played much, much better than any of us anticipated.  And oh yeah, we have a couple of new coaches as well... anyone still have doubts?

To say this was a successful season would be an understatement.  Yes, some can argue that losing in the first round of the playoffs was a missed opportunity.  This Eagles team, though, established itself as a new team with a new approach, new strategies, new player attitude, and a drive to win when it seemed that was all lost just a year ago.

This was a fun season, an exciting season.  It was heartbreaking to see it end, but we cannot wait for next season.  It's been a few years since we felt like this, and this feels good.  Just one more for the road, E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!
