The NFL Draft starts primetime on Thursday, April 28 2011.  We have our old friend Tommy Lawlor back on, picking his mock-draft-making, player-analyzing, game-recording brain to find out about his feelings on this years Philadelphia Eagles prospects and picks.  As figuring it all out is futile for just about anyone, Tommy comes the closest with the deepest insight for Eagles fans on what our team will do starting Thursday.  It’s impossible to keep up with him, so we just press Record and listen in amazement and awe.

We touch on the news that U.S. District Judge Susan Richard Nelson ordered an end to the NFL lockout, then move on to the Draft.  We talk players, potential moves, and how the lockout has affected things so far.  Tommy refers to this class as “below average” at one point, but we talk about the 2011 Class’s strength, Tommy’s favorite prospects for the entire draft, and more.

Tommy will be back again in two weeks (May 10th) for the annual post-Draft show where we will talk about what the Eagles accomplished this week.

After a few months’ hiatus, the show is back. Jason from Bleeding Green Nation andSB Nation Philly is on tonight and we talk mostly about the newly-released 2011 Eagles schedule. It’s so early to truly evaluate the schedule and the Eagles chances this year, especially with the uncertainty of the current NFL lockout and negotiations. Jason and Chuck touch on the lockout, and the trickle down issues having to do with player conditioning, finances and more.

Overall, we both feel that the schedule looks like a challenging one, but can be one that the Eagles can excel and prove themselves in a very public eye.  Five of the games are primetime, with three more in the later slot, so half of their schedule are nationally televised.  Eagles fans will get to see plenty of their team no matter where they are.
