The Philadelphia Eagles lose their second game of the season, and slip to 1-2, with the unfortunate prospect of going to Denver to face the powerful Broncos this coming weekend. The Kansas City Chiefs, helmed by new head coach Andy Reid, handed the Eagles yet another home loss. Now the Eagles have not won a home game in over a year. Eagles fans, nonetheless, welcomed Andy Reid back with much applause and cheers, properly thanking him for many years of successful Eagles teams and many years of hopeful seasons. Also receiving a standing ovation and cheers was former quarterback Donovan McNabb, who the Eagles organization retired his number, 5, at a halftime ceremony. Fan favorite (who also had HIS number 20 retired last year), Brian Dawkins was the emcee... and pretty much received as much in the way of cheering from the fans as did McNabb. It was a memorable moment, a deserving moment as arguably the best quarterback in franchise history, yet marred by an Eagles team that did everything it could to hand the victory to Reid and the Chiefs. This week the Eagles head a mile high, and battle a hot Peyton Manning. Hopefully new head coach Chip Kelly will coach a way to score more or find a way to neutralize Manning. -- Show your feelings!
